    1. I think Oppel is probably the author I recommend most to those kids who are in the weird in between place between MG and Teen. He's not personally one of my favorites, but I think he has SO MUCH kid appeal!

    1. I'll Give You the Sun was beautiful (although I did have slight problems with the ending). Still, so worth reading. I am so excited to read The Night Gardener! Sounds like just my type of book. All gothic and spooky!

  7. You've got some great reads lined up. Grasshopper Jungle is a ride, but well worth it! It along with The Night Gardener and A Snicker of Magic were some of my favourite books from last year. I'm waiting for I'll Give you the Sun to arrive from the Library.

  8. I think I'LL GIVE YOU THE SUN will be my "crying book" for PopSugar. But I guess we'll see. I don't tend to cry a lot while reading.

  9. I quite enjoyed The Riverman last year - quite riveting. I'm looking forward to reading its sequel. Loved Brown Girl Dreaming, Grasshopper Jungle, Night Gardener and A Snicker of Magic. :) Hope you enjoy them all as much as I did.
